What is the aim of the Melbourne Social Club?

• Provide a award winning Melbourne Social Club that has a wide range of interesting Melbourne social events and social activities. Melbourne Social Club has run around 4,400 social events around Melbourne. 
• Enrich the social lives of other Melburnians by bringing people together to socialise around Melbourne and enjoy social activities and events. Our social club in Melbourne has helped forge hundreds of long term friendships in Melbourne including several marriages with a recent wedding in November 2025.
• Make Melbourne social by helping our members meet new people and make new friends in Melbourne and reduce social isolation within the community. We have also received a commendation from the City of Melbourne for our dedicated contribution to Melbourne and its people for making Melbourne social for 20 years.
• Provide great service to our members. Melbourne Social Club is very highly ranked in Google and Facebook reviews with over 3,000 fans. In 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026 Melbourne Social Club qualified for a service award from Word of Mouth Online (WOMO) to be in the top 5% of companies based entirely on customer feedback rated 4.8 stars out of 5 stars.  
• Provide a quality business. In 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026, Melbourne Social Club qualified for a Quality Business Award which is a seal of quality, achieving an overall quality score of 95% or greater. This award for Melbourne Social Club shows a dedication to providing a quality product and maintaining an overall fantastic customer experience.  
• Supporting our members with membership loyalty discounts up to 50%, gifting free membership months to cover time spent in lockdown as well as membership discounts and regular weekly communication via e-newsletters. Our six month membership was set at $99 in 2006 and is cheaper in 2025 and members enjoy a new member joining referral bonus.  
• Encourage people to become aware and involved in various community, sports and social events in Melbourne. As an example, our Christmas Day Picnic that has run over 15 years and is a free open social community festive event in Melbourne. After a break in 2020/2021 due to COVID-19 restrictions, we were pleased to run the Christmas Lunch in 2024 that allowed the community to come together. Over 80 people attended with media articles published in The Age and Sydney Morning Herald, Sunday Herald Sun, The Sunday Telegraph House of Wellness Magazine with a Forging a Sense of Belonging feature. In 2025, the event was listed in the City of Melbourne Whats On newsletter, Secret Melbourne and featured on 3AW Mornings with Shane McInnes on Christmas Eve.  
• Support charitable causes through charity donations.  We have raised thousands of dollars for charity over the last 20 years with profits heading to charity. Our charities are chosen each year that have an association with members or the Greater Melbourne community, our charity is Kidney Health Australia for 2025/2026.
• Help charitable associations though events, event sponsors and donations. We have helped may charitable associations such as Cancer Research, Surf Life Saving Club, Spinal Cord Society, POP (Perspective on Parkinsons), Starlight Foundation, Salvation Army, St Johns Ambulance, Plan International, Victoria Bushfire Appeal, donating to victims of the Bourke Street car attack and others. We have raised funds for the homeless with Sleep at the G event.
• Encourage companies to participate in our Melbourne Social Club by promoting it to staff or clients who are new to Melbourne or an expat in Melbourne to help establish a new social life in Melbourne.
• Provide companies and individuals access to the great events within our corporate membership scheme and provide a lifestyle service that will compliment and add value to their existing company culture including corporate events for companies.
